Ceiling And Visibility Unlimited is an aviation term relaying the message that it is safe to climb as high and as fast as one can.  CAVU Consulting, LLC takes this term and applies it to businesses that need to define their current situation, develop their strategic/product/service direction and successfully generate results commensurate with set goals and objectives.

CAVU Consulting, LLC’s proven process has been used in diverse projects for companies ranging from major international corporations to Internet startups.  Our methodology has been evolutionary based on proven results, rather than revolutionary as claimed by periodic “process de jours” promoted by major consulting firms. It has been our experience that no matter the size of the company or the type of project, the failure of achievement is most likely related to the three “Ds” – Defining, Deciding, and Delivering. 

  •  Defining:  Our experience has been that companies often start a plan without having clearly defined the problem or opportunity.  Often companies have difficulty with clarity in defining their current situation, defining their goals and expectations, defining the scope and defining the team participants. 

  •  Deciding:  Effective decision-making is another problem area. Every decision has a definite window of opportunity.  If a decision is not executed within the prescribed window, it matters not whether the decision was inherently valid. Untimely decisions and a lack of agreement on the roles and responsibilities of project participants often leads to failure and finger pointing.  And many plans or projects fail because of deliverables and due dates that were not properly determined.   

  •  Delivering:  Managing the successful implementation of a plan requires empowered participants, timely deliverables, and adherence to budgeted expenses.  Our experience has been that companies too often exceed their budgets and/or their deliverable due dates leading to failed plans or projects and disenchanted management.
